I’ve been making films since I was 12. At 16, I won my first Scottish BAFTA for Best Director, beginning a lifelong commitment to the craft of telling stories beautifully.

After studying filmmaking at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, I began my career at the BBC, co-creating and directing the Official Chart Show before moving into narrative drama, earning two Children’s BAFTA nominations along the way.

Today, I direct films around the world, working between Glasgow, London and LA. My work brings together authentic human performance and cinematic craft, driven by a belief that the smallest choices can make the greatest difference.

At the heart of it is taste: an instinct for what belongs, what doesn’t, and how far to push an idea without losing its humanity.

I’ve brought that approach to award-winning work for brands including Aperol, Bet365, Bud Light, Johnnie Walker and Nespresso.

The ambition has always been simple: elevate the story, obsess over the details, and make something beautiful enough to be remembered.
